Arrival of Sophie Besnault – EPNAC national working group

Sophie Besnault joined the research unit REVERSAAL on June 2nd 2022 as a research engineer for an 18 month contract. She will be in charge of the national working group EPNAC. 

The EPNAC working group, started and managed by INRAE, gathers all the public stakeholders on wastewater treatment. His main objective is to produce and release practical and technical information to wastewater stakeholders by gaining, gathering and spreading knowledge on the processes for small and medium wastewater treatments plants.

Sophie Besnault is a chemical engineer from Chimie ParisTech PSL. She is passionate about the environment and in particular wastewater treatment plants! She started her career as a research engineer at the CIRSEE, the main research centre of SUEZ. She worked afterwards on the optimisation of Valenton wastewater treatment plant, the second biggest European wastewater treatment plant. Then she worked at Sogedo on the improvement of small water and waste water facilities.
